1. Acceptance
By accessing or using SignalForge (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be legally able to enter into these terms and authorized to use the Alpaca account you connect. You are responsible for your account activity, devices, and the accuracy of information you submit.
3. Brokerage relationship
The Service connects to Alpaca through OAuth. Brokerage accounts, custody, market-data entitlements, order acceptance, execution, clearing, and records are provided or controlled by Alpaca and its affiliates under their own agreements. Alpaca’s records are the source of truth if the Service differs from your brokerage account.
4. No investment advice
The Service provides software tools and information only. It does not provide investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice; recommend any security or strategy; or guarantee any result. You are responsible for evaluating every trading decision.
5. Trading risks and orders
Trading involves substantial risk, including loss of principal. Prices, quotes, charts, news, and account values may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable. Orders may be rejected, delayed, partially filled, or filled at a different price. Review each order before submission and monitor its status directly with your broker.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Service, bypass access or risk controls, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, violate applicable law, or use the Service to infringe another person’s rights.
7. Availability and changes
The Service may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, compliance, or protection of users and systems.
8. Intellectual property
The Service and its original software, design, and content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you only a limited, revocable right to use the Service as provided.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, the Service operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or trading losses arising from use of or inability to use the Service.
10. Changes and contact
These terms may be updated by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
